Why take refuge in the Taoist path?

Only by truly seeking the Tao and entering the Tao can one be registered in the Heavenly Roster and exempted from the Underworld.

"Registering in the Heavenly Roster" is significant when a person begins to seek the Tao and their name is entered into the "Immortal and Buddha Registry" of the Three Official Divine Emperors. They are candidates for immortality and Buddhahood from that point forward. When they cultivate and practice diligently, their spirit may one day ascend to become an immortal or a Buddha.

What does " Removal from the Underworld Registry" mean?

From the day a person begins seeking the Tao and entering the Tao, King Yama of Hell will remove their name from the Book of Life and Death in the underworld. They will no longer be subject to Yama's authority and will no longer be subject to the cycle of samsara so long they do not perform evil deeds in the future.

Taking shelter and receiving precepts is thus the first and most essential step on the road of cultivation for individuals seeking to transcend death and break free from the cycle of reincarnation.

We invite all Taoist followers and members of the public to register and attend this ceremony.

Taiwan's Taoist Xuan Yi Palace

Lineage Inherited from Master: The Second-Generation Grand Master of Taiwan
Based on Classic Biographies: Orthodox Taoist Canon, Oral Teachings from Predecessors
Attributes of Taoist Inheritance: The Five Arts of Taoism, Taoist Rituals and Ceremonies

Xuan Yi Palace has an area of roughly 1500 square meters and is located in Zhuokeng Lane, Yongfu Village, Zhongliao Township, Nantou County, Taiwan. The temple's enshrinement of the Zhenwu Xuantian Supreme Emperor dates back to the Qing Dynasty's Kangxi era, when mainland Chinese migrated to Taiwan. They carried and enshrined the golden statue of the Zhen Wu Emperor from Wudang Mountain here, continuing a 300-year-old tradition. Local villagers gathered to pay their respects after learning about the divine statue of the Zhen Wu Emperor, transforming the shrine into a flourishing incense offering site. As a result, the villagers constructed an earthen house for the deity, locating it in the main hall and naming it "Xuan Yi Palace."

Ritual Team of Lvshan Lineage Zhen Wu Sect

The "Ritual Team" affiliated with the Xuan Yi Palace, the ancestral temple of the Taiwan Taoist Main Temple, belongs to the "Lvshan Lineage Zhen Wu Sect," and is led by Master Luo Wenkui (Taoist Dharma name: Luo Shanyun), the abbot and the second-generation Grand Master of the "Lvshan Lineage Zhen Wu Sect." Master Luo has dedicated his life to teaching and passing down the Taoist Five Arts and Taoist rites, earning him a high reputation in Taiwan's Taoist Five Arts community. He has gotten great support and aid from many Taoist temples, especially for his outstanding practices in organizing "Taoist Ritual Ceremonies," for which he has gained recognition from temples around the region.

The "Ritual Team" consists of highly skilled masters who are part of the "Taiwan Taoist Lvshan Lineage Zhen Wu Sect." All performing masters have completed "Taoist Ritual Training" and, after passing the ritual assessment (both in writing and practical skills), they proceed to undergo the " Lvshan Lineage Zhen Wu Sect Three Caverns Scripture Transmission and Precept Ceremony" (participation in the precept ceremony for masters). This qualifies them as Taoist ritual masters. Each of these skilled masters also holds a legitimate profession (or has achieved success in their careers) and does not engage in ritual work for livelihood purposes. They are devoted to their spiritual cultivation, diligently studying scriptures and ritual guidelines, with a primary emphasis on upholding the behavior to promote the Taoist tradition.

A delegation of 16 members from Taiwan's Xuan Yi Gong Taoist Main Temple will be hosting this ceremony in Singapore. We invite the public to support the delegation by contributing towards their expenses, including airfare, accommodation, and meals.
